Two Types of Users in the Recruitment
Step-by-Step vs. Overview

We identified two types of users in the recruitment flow: one prefers step-by-step guidance, while the other needs a real-time overview to stay in control. The old system’s linear flow caused issues—users couldn’t see the full context and often worried that saved data couldn't be reviewed or edited later. To solve this, the new system uses an overview-first design for greater visibility and confidence.

Design and issue

Use the tabs above to explore four sections: Login & Registration, Resume Completion, Interview Progress, and Assessments. Each tab contains screen previews and descriptions explaining the design decisions and key improvements for that stage.

Redesign Login Page Layout and Logic

This redesign combines the login/signup page with a welcoming interface. Besides maintaining a clear and straightforward process, it creates a focused and inviting atmosphere for users. To prevent users from abandoning registration due to lengthy form completion on a single page (as in the old system), we adopted a multi-page step-by-step flow. This segmented approach both reduces drop-offs and preserves the welcoming experience.

Registration Notice for Non-Nationals

Considering that non-native job seekers previously lacked clear guidance on account setup, the new system includes explicit tooltip instructions to help users correctly enter their account numbers. Additionally, password creation now features clear prompts and security warnings to improve account safety and ease of use.

Smart Job Selection Flow

Candidates can now select up to two preferred roles using a cart-like interface. When a position requires a location preference, the system dynamically displays relevant options—ensuring that only necessary fields appear. This streamlined experience reduces user confusion, improves accuracy, and speeds up the overall application process.

Speeding Up Resume Completion

The resume page features a split layout where the navigation menu and incomplete section alerts are displayed side by side. This allows users to quickly spot which sections still require input and switch between them without losing context. The layout significantly improves task completion rates by reducing confusion and minimizing the chances of users dropping off midway.

Document Submission Page

For roles that require candidates to submit specific documents before interviews—such as police clearance records, credit checks, or other position-related paperwork—this page consolidates all the required items into a single, clearly organized checklist. Users can view what’s needed at a glance and upload everything directly through the interface, eliminating confusion and reducing back-and-forth communication. This design simplifies the submission process, ensures regulatory compliance, and significantly improves operational efficiency for both candidates and HR.

Interview Response Hub

Interview updates are now centralized within a single, dedicated page. Instead of relying on scattered emails or multiple contact points, candidates can view all interview-related notifications—such as invitations, changes, or confirmations—in one place. The interface also allows users to directly reply, confirm attendance, or request a reschedule through intuitive options, greatly reducing communication friction and enhancing the overall experience.

Assessment Page

This dynamic assessment page handles aptitude, cognitive, and personality tests. Questions update automatically based on role or logic, giving candidates a smooth experience while saving HR time on setup and data handling.

Modular Question Page

To meet current and future test needs, this page adopts a modular design for questions. HR can quickly apply or edit templates, streamlining test creation. Users benefit from a consistent, smooth answering experience across various question types.

Proposal

This frontend redesign refreshes outdated visuals and user flows. Building on the brand’s palette and design language, it introduces a cleaner, more modern look. UX elements adapt to screen needs, while a unified flow ensures clarity and efficiency.

Proposed Visual Design Concepts

A. Minimal Green Concept
A clean, streamlined style accented with subtle neon green creates a modern, focused visual experience—ideal for emphasizing efficiency and clarity in user flows.

B. Brand Continuity Concept
Extends the company’s existing scheduling-page style, pairing familiar visual language with clear steps and illustrative graphics to deliver an optimized yet recognizable experience.

C. Visual Renewal Concept
Uses a broader color palette and guided imagery to bring more vibrancy and playfulness to the interface, delivering a refreshed and engaging look and feel.
